        AboutStudio D+E is the merger of Copenhagen based Canadian-Swedish choreographer Dorotea Saykaly and Danish film director Emil Dam Seidel. Inspired by myth-making and speculative sci-fi, together they create unanticipated physical experiences. 

Their practice is rooted in a desire to break free of intellectual frameworks and awaken the audience's instinctive, physical intelligence — not an invitation to observe, but an invitation to feel. At the intersection of choreography, audiovisual media, and experiential installation, they build emotionally immersive worlds that occupy the space between disciplines.

Studio D+E has gained international recognition for their work at amongst others the Lumen Prize, Venice International Film Festival, La Biennale di Venezia Danza and Festival de Cannes.

Before their own careers as creators, Dorotea and Emil each worked with prominent figures in their fields.
