Caught in a room with her mirror interrogator, Clarice confronts shifting visions of her identity. ‘She’ is an experimental short film exploring liminal states — between human and machine, sanity and madness, self and other.

Inspired by the novel, The Passion According to G.H. by Clarice Lispector, the work revolves around identity and doubt. Manifested through movement, distortion and an interview with a phantom interrogator, the work proposes looking at a questioning body through a female lens.

AboutInspired by myth-making and speculative sci-fi, Studio D+E builds emotionally immersive worlds that occupy the space between disciplines. Their practice is rooted in a desire to break free of intellectual frameworks and awaken the instinctive, physical intelligence of audiences and participants of the arts.

Their collaboration comes as a response to a world undergoing overwhelming acceleration — political, environmental, and technological. Studio D+E sees a rupture happening: a dissociation from the body, from each other, and from our shared reality. In this fracture, they create spaces to re-enter the body and recover authentic connection to the self and the other.

In their work, body, sound and image coalesce into an expression that is at once archaic and forward reaching — not an invitation to observe, but an invitation to feel.
